“Every year there is a lot of anticipation and excitement as the ND Rifle season gets ready to kick off in November. The talk at every gas station is of the big bucks being seen and harvested all over the state. I was very fortunate this year and had the opportunity to find this Mule Deer at first light on the second week of the season. I watched him chase does from about 1000 yards away until he had enough and just bedded in a dry creek about 600 yards from my vantage point. All day I sat and glassed waiting for him to get up as the wind was wrong for me to approach him and the valley was too wide open to close the distance anyways. After about 6 hours the deer decided he get up and grazed away from me toward a butte with four does...

“Thought I would send a few pic’s of the B&C eligible Coues Buck I took in Sonora Mexico on 1/13/11 While hunting with Coues Country Outfitters. We spotted him bedded on a big hump from about 3/4 mile. We stalked as close as the terrain would allow, 500yds. and I got set up. We waited 45 mins. for the buck to stand up, and when he did he took two steps away and turned left, I touched the trigger and he folded like a newspaper! No blood trail here.
