Step-by-Step Guide: Creating a Custom Turret

1. Select Your Zero Distance:

Begin by choosing a zero distance for your rifle. 100 yards is the recommended distance as it remains largely unaffected by atmospheric conditions and provides a reliable starting point for further adjustments.

2. Conduct Test Shots at Varying Distances:

Next, take your rifle to the range and fire test shots at multiple distances. The more varied the distances, the better the data you'll collect. Ideally, shoot at longer distances (e.g., 200 yards, 300 yards, etc.), as this will help you fine-tune your scope adjustments. For accuracy, record your shots on paper so you can easily measure and track the number of clicks needed for each distance.

3. Measure and Record Your Data:

As you test at different ranges, record the number of clicks your turret requires to adjust for the drop at each distance. Make sure to note the exact amount of elevation or windage adjustments needed for each shot.

4. Input Your Data into the TrueBC Calculator:

Visit the TrueBC calculator on the Huskemaw website. Input the data you’ve gathered from your test shots into the calculator. This will include the distances, the number of clicks for each, and any other relevant ballistics information.

5. Customize Your Turret:

Based on the data you’ve entered, Huskemaw will use the TrueBC calculator to create a custom turret tailored to match the specific ballistics of your rifle and ammunition.The turret will be calibrated to allow you to make quick, accurate adjustments at different ranges based on your previous testing.

6. Explore the Double-Stacked Turret Feature (Optional)

One of the unique features of Huskemaw turrets is the double-stacked turret. This allows you to switch between two different atmospheric settings, giving you additional flexibility depending on the environmental conditions during your hunt or shoot.If you opt for this feature, Huskemaw will incorporate it into your custom turret design.

7. Receive Your Custom Turret:

After completing the customization process, Huskemaw will manufacture and ship your custom turret directly to you. Once you receive it, you can mount it on your Huskemaw scope and enjoy precise, easy adjustments tailored to your rifle and shooting preferences.
